3G Routers

3G routers, often called 3G modem are teams whose role is to provide Internet access through mobile phone to a device or machine on a local network, depending on modem or modem / router. The SIM card 3G routers used to validate the network, using communication technology with better coverage to be multi-band (HSPA, 3G, GPRS) and can be internal or external (PCMCIA, USB, Wi-Fi).

Features

Expressions 3G and 3G modem routers are generic terms that are often used interchangeably to refer to electronic devices capable of providing mobile Internet access.

In general, where there is the possibility of having a connection via a landline ADSL or cable, they represent the best option to connect to the Internet. But sometimes it may be appropriate 3G routers, if there is no fixed connection coverage in the area or if it is a project of short duration, despite the lower quality and higher cost of the connection.

Modem or Router, although both terms are used colloquially alike, are not the same, the 3G routers allow Internet access to computers on a LAN, while the modem only allow access to a single computer. SIM card to authenticate to the network operator, routers must use 3G SIM card and can take integrated or plug through slot. Coverage: 3G routers are usually multi-band, using the right technology at any time depending on the coverage, switching between 3G, HSPA and GPRS without losing the connection, changing only the bandwidth. Additional Features: 3G routers usually have advanced networking features such as firewall, DHCP server, name server or DNS packet filtering.

Type

We have several options to get the functionality that we offer devices called routers 3G

3G Modem: not working as router, only have a modem function, so that only service a single computer, do not allow sharing the connection. They can be external, PCMCIA or USB interface, or internal, when the modem is integrated into the computer itself. Also, some USB 3G modem have a Wi-Fi base that acts as router. Modem / Routers 3G act as modem as router, allowing connection sharing and all the machines on a local network can access the Internet simultaneously with a single external IP. They are external devices such as Routers called 3G Wi-Fi, and often have Ethernet interface and Wi-Fi, also function as a gateway, switch and wireless access point. 3G mobile phones such as routers, it is now possible to access the Internet from an electronic device using 3G mobile phones and routers, the only requirement being that both teams are able to communicate with each other, having to do a number of connectivity options such as cable data, infrared IRDA (Infrared Data Association), Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
